About the Event
This conference is a one day exploration of marginalised histories and literatures, discussing everything from women’s, Black and Asian history to the history of disability and the LGBTQ+ community. We are passionate about the need to discuss history and literature that has been ignored for so long, and though there has been some incredible progress in previous years, there is always more work to be done.
This year, the theme of the conference is ‘Abandoning Ignorance: The Unexpected Discoveries of Marginalised Groups’, and the panels will be focussed around: Medieval womens and gender, the Medieval Middle East, Classical and Medieval Asia, Modern medical humanities, and Black and other migration.
